A Great Fan History!

That's a history a Fan  and your meeting with Billy Falcon!

Surprise!

We are members of the Hard Rock Café club and enjoy eating at them in the many different cities we visit in our travels. It’s our one big splurge. We’d been to Memphis Hard Rock Café before, on the way back from seeing the San Antonio Bon Jovi show in March.  So when we planned this trip to Memphis we planned to eat there after we toured the Gibson Guitar factory. Imagine our surprise after being seated, to find out that Billy Falcon was going to be there!

I was very excited. Billy has been one of my heroes and inspirations for a very long time. As a writer myself, I admire the crisp freshness of Billy’s lyrics and also how he matches the mood in his music so well to the lyrics. You can tell what kind of a song it is without even knowing the lyrics, the music and lyrics are complements to each other, but each could stand alone as a statement if they needed to. That to me is what makes up a successful song.
My daughters told me I was so nervous about asking for a picture with Billy, that I acted like a sixth grader asking someone for a date. I just didn't want to be in his way, and I know he's a busy guy so I didn't want to intrude on his time.  I finally got up the nerve to talk to Billy's friend Marty about getting a photo with him. Marty talked to him so here is the photo of my daughter and I with Billy Falcon! He was very sweet and nice and he really impressed my little Kati.  (I was already  impressed. lol)   We also got to meet Billy’s beautiful daughter, Rose Falcon. I was excited to learn she will be releasing a new album soon, as I have a few of her of her older songs that I just love.
Billy Falcon and the Sowing Circle at the Concert
I was pleased to find the souvenir booths at FedEx Forum had Billy’s new CD and T-shirts for sale. I picked up a T-shirt for me and  a CD for the van, too.  Billy Falcon and The Sowing Circle open the show promptly at 7:30 pm. They were amazing. Kati was so impressed she said they are her favorite band now!  We loved how the wide array of instruments harmonized so well together. Kati’s favorite song is Sunday Comes, while mine is Fall to Me. We also loved 100 Dollar bill and it makes us laugh every time we listen to it.
After Billy’s set and during an intermission before Bon Jovi we headed out to the lobby, where Billy signed my T-shirt and Kati’s CD. She was impressed he remembered her from earlier. I also talked to Rose for a few more minutes. The were both so sweet and friendly. We listened to the new CD several times on the way home from Memphis!
Billy Falcon and the Sowing Circle are definitely the BEST opening act we have seen before a Bon Jovi concert and we can’t wait to see them again. Hopefully sometime soon.
